Plans to reopen the Blarney Stone pub didn’t work out, evidently. But a Jimmy John’s franchisee just leased the space on Lower Greenville between Richmond and Prospect.

The sandwich shop is expected to open by March 1, says Bill Veatch of UCR, who negotiated the lease. Veatch is the leasing agent for 2001 Greenspace, the planned Madison Partners development that landed Natural Grocers as an anchor tenant in September. That development is just across the street from this new Jimmy John’s store, and Veatch says he needs a restaurant or two to comit to leases in 2001 Greenspace before construction can start.
