The eighth-grade Buccaneers went undefeated and ended their season Jan. 18 with a 36-8 win over Hill Middle School.
The District 2 champions enter the DISD playoffs Jan. 28. Their coaches are Anjeanette Mays and Jennifer Garcia.

The seventh-grade girls had a good season too. They took second place in the O.W. Holmes Middle School basketball tournament Jan. 21. They lost the championship game to Holmes.
