Dallas singer-songwriter and Grammy award winner Erykah Badu is celebrating her birthday in style next Tuesday, Feb. 26 at The Granada Theater. The party will be hosted by The Cannabinoids and will also feature RC & the Gritz Band.
Recently, NPR featured Badu on its quiz show “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” , recorded at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas. Topics included Badu’s controversial, “guerrilla style” music video in Dealey plaza, her Booker T. Washington High roots and the story behind her stage name that originated in Deep Ellum.
“Erykah Badu’s Birthday Jammy ‘It’s the Damn Jam’ hosted by the Cannabinoids” will start at 7 p.m., and tickets can be purchased on the Granada’s website.
