Employee well-being has become a top priority for modern organizations, and Interfaith Family Services CEO, Kimberly Williams, believes it is vital to have a healthy workplace environment for both individuals and organizations to be successful. The wellness program is designed to provide employees with the tools, resources, and support they need to achieve a balanced and fulfilling work-life experience. It will also include a safe space to retreat to when individuals need a moment of relaxation during the workday to maintain healthy mental health.

“This is an initiative I’m thrilled to champion, as it’s intentionally designed to boost employee retention by creating an environment where our staff feels valued, supported, and empowered,” Williams says. “By investing in their well-being, we aim to cultivate a loyal and engaged workforce centered on a holistic approach to wellness from every angle. We want everyone to know we promote self-care advocacy.”

The East Dallas nonprofit built two relaxation rooms that include a massage chair, reclining lounge chair, pillows, blankets, snacks, and drinks for employees to enjoy at any point of their day. All people have to do is place their names on the schedule and enjoy 30 minutes of uninterrupted relaxation.

Interfaith Family Services’ new wellness program incorporates proactive measures to identify and address the root cause of burnout. This is just the beginning of the program, one of the new offerings in addition to the wellness program will be an on-site childcare center at a discounted rate for employees, access to its on-site gym, wellness classes like yoga or meditation, and a 35-hour full-time work-week. Interfaith Family Services invites all employees to embrace this program as part of their journey toward optimal well-being and balance.

Employee burnout is a growing concern across industries, leading to decreased productivity and overall job satisfaction.

The nonprofit is dedicated to improving the workplace so that it reflects its values of care and compassion for the families it serves. And that same care and compassion is extended to the Interfaith team.
