The Stodg is something of a hamburger superstar. Two years ago, it made a Texas Monthly list of the best burgers in Texas. The Dallas Observer in 2007 named it “Best Excuse for a Heart Attack” and last year placed it among the best 100 dishes in Dallas.
So what is the Stodg? It was named after Steve Stodghill, a Dallas attorney who is an investor in The Porch’s owner Consilient Restaurants. It’s a burger with cheddar, bacon, an egg cooked over easy and a bun spread with foie gras. It costs $15, but that’s OK because this isn’t something you want to eat every day.
