Hope Cottage, an East Dallas nonprofit organization, is partnering with HHM Health to launch CeCe’s Place, a maternal medical clinic, to provide affordable, comprehensive healthcare for underserved expecting parents.
The Dallas-based nonprofit, founded in 1918 at 609 Texas St., initially served as an adoption home. Over the years, the institution has expanded its mission to include foster care education, adoption and parenting support.
With help from HHM Health, a nonprofit community health organization, CeCe’s place will offer healthcare services to those without insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, ACA plans, and commercial insurance, similar to HHM Health.
On Sep. 21, the day well-known as North Texas Giving Day, staff members from Hope Cottage began construction on CeCe’s Place by breaking the walls of its current space.
The George and Fay Young Foundation, a private, not-for-profit corporation that issues grants to organizations, funded $2 million to help establish the clinic. The modern facility is named after Carol Young Marvin, the daughter adopted by the Youngs through Hope Cottage.
CeCe’s Place will host a ribbon-cutting and public preview are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with tours every half 30 minutes.
