After almost a year in the making, Abby’s Bagels, a bagel shop at 1915 Greenville Ave. opened.
Since its opening on Friday, Jan. 19, the shop has sold almost 5,000 bagels. Its simple menu offers espresso, fresh sandwiches and of course, freshly made bagels. All the normal flavors are there and a few unique ones like truffle parm bagels, white fish cream cheese or birthday cake are on the menu.
With over hundreds of customers in three days of being open, the bagel shop is taking Monday, Jan. 22 to close and get caught up with neighborhood demand. The facility will reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23.
The shop will be open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Prior to its bagel offerings, Kathy Fielder Boutique was formerly at the location, and before then, the site was home to Transit Bicycle Co., which closed in 2019, the Advocate reported.
