My 13-year-old daughter played the piano here a few times and begged me to go every single Sunday. She cried when I told her. What a true gem and a huge loss for the community.

So sad. Have enjoyed many wonderful meals at the Highland Park Cafeteria at a number of different locations over the years. Even as a child, we would make the trek over from the Grove to eat at the Highland Park Cafeteria. Later on, some of us from work would drive from downtown to eat lunch there too! When it moved to North Dallas, then Casa Linda, we dutifully followed. Many good times, many great meals and good memories. I know everything must change, but hate losing this great Dallas institution.

Great memories and meals! 28 years ago, they made the most delicious chocolate cake covered in strawberries for our wedding.

I am so sad. Great food and great staff. I loved everything. My favorite is the zucchini muffins, which are part of my fond memories of eating there. I feel sorry for all the seniors who have eaten there for many years. Best cafeteria I ever went to.
