Cocktail bar Hide is moving from Deep Ellum to a new spot on Lowest Greenville this summer, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Hide, which has been closed since Gov. Greg Abbott temporarily prohibited bars from operating in June 2020, will reopen in a two-story building with a rooftop patio. The space at 1928 Greenville Ave. was once home to Eastside Social, which closed in May after less than two years in business.

An opening date is set for July 2021, the newspaper reported.

“It was a great opportunity,” owner Nick Backlund told the Morning News. “We’ve always said if a rooftop patio came about and was in the right spot, we would do it. It popped up in the middle of the pandemic, and as crazy as that sounds, we jumped in.”

Much like the original, the menu will feature craft cocktails, including hand-carbonated drinks. Popular drinks like the Green Tara with vodka, jasmine green tea, lime, lemon and vanilla will remain on the menu.
