Green Grocer is continuing its Chefs’ Choice Charity program through August with Chef Graham Dodd, who has chosen the East Dallas-based community garden, Promise of Peace Garden, as his charity of choice.

Promise of Peace is a non-profit organization that’s “seeking simple solutions for stagnate circumstances in urban communities.” Promise of Peace, or POP, helps to “increase healthy life styles, school success, as well as positive engagement while transforming perspectives.”

Green Grocer features Dodds’ grilled Panini with chèvre, sautéed squash ribbons, Promise of Peace garden mint and pickled red onion on olive sourdough from Village Baking Company as well as the signature smoothie dubbed the “Honey Graham,” a blend of local melon, mint and honey.

A portion of the proceeds from each will benefit Promise of Peace Garden through August 31.

The Chefs’ Choice Charity program features a new chef, menu item and juice each month with a portion of the proceeds donated to a favored non-profit.

Green Grocer is located at 3614 Greenville.  Hours of operation are Mon.–Fri. 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sat.–Sun. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.  For more information,  go to GreenGrocerDallas.com or call 214.643.6209.
