The latest victim of the supply chain issues and product shortages? Paper bags.
Specifically, paper bags used by restaurants for to-go orders. Though, the paper shortage was also cited as the reason why one United Kingdom-based asset management firm, Abrdn, delayed a shareholder vote on a potential £1.5 billion ($2.03 billion) acquisition; they couldn’t print and deliver the entire 120-page document to all 1.1 million shareholders.
Over the weekend, Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House shared an Instagram post of its alternative to the usual packages: evidence bags, like the kinds police officers use to collect items from crime scenes.
“Order up,” Goodfriend wrote.
But neighbors didn’t care. In fact, they seemed to really enjoy the change.
