At around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 18, Garland police responded to an apartment complex in the 5600 block of Naaman Forest Boulevard about a concern over welfare, the release says. Co-workers of 54-year-old Brian were concerned because he had not shown for work for several days.

At the Marsters’ apartment, officers were unable to get a response by knocking on the door.  They made entry into the apartment and found a man and woman dead inside the apartment.

Detectives were called to investigate. Based on their preliminary investigation, detectives believe Brian shot and killed his wife, 53-year-old Corrine, and then shot and killed himself.

A police records check did not show any previous calls of domestic problems between the Marsters.

Detectives will wait for an official ruling on cause of death from the Dallas County Medical Examiner.
