The National Weather Service predicts 25-mph wind gusts and an 80 percent chance of precipitation Saturday, the only day the City of Dallas will distribute 2,600 free trees to residents who registered in advance for Branch Out Dallas.

The 5-gallon trees will be available, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to noon at six locations, including one in East Dallas.

Neighbors who did not register can stop by the distribution centers at noon to take home any leftover trees.
