Bryan Adams High School was placed on lockdown for about an hour Thursday morning after one person died in a nearby residential shooting, Dallas’ NBC affiliate reported.

Police responded about 11:40 a.m. to the 9800 block of Kingsman Drive, where they found one person dead from a gunshot wound, according to the station. The victim has not yet been identified.

The lockdown on the school, located about a quarter mile away, was lifted at 12:45 p.m.

No suspect had been named, and no arrested had been made at the time of the report.
