Three young artists designed an “ambitious” National Art Schools project in 1960s Cuba following Fidel Castro’s revolution. The project, a “visionary architectural masterpiece” according to the event listing, was eventually neglected and is now explored in the film “Unfinished Spaces,” which the Latino Cultural Center (LCC) screens Jan. 9. Reservations are requested.
A reception takes place Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. at the LCC, located at 2600 Live Oak. The film will be screened at 6:30 p.m. followed by a 30-minute panel discussion.
The event is free and a collaboration of the Dallas Architecture Forum, Dallas Center for Architecture, DOCOMOMO US NTX, Preservation Dallas and the LCC.
