Free movies at the Nasher Sculpture Center and Victory Plaza

Four letters catch my attention every time I am looking for something to do: F-R-E-E. (Have I got your attention now?)

If you’re with me, and looking for a little summertime fun with your friends or family, let me recommend two places downtown that show free movies every week. Every Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. you can catch a flick at Victory Plaza, surrounded by the Dallas skyline. The movies are played on three screens, and everyone brings blankets, chairs and food. (You can also grab a patio seat with views of the screens at N9NE Steakhouse, Nove or Paciugo — reservations recommended at the two former.)

Then on Friday nights at 9 p.m., the Nasher Sculpture Center shows free movies in the garden. There is also free entertainment before the movie, and you can grab food from the café. Plus, the Nasher has all kinds of free events throughout the week.
