Liberty burger

Construction on the Liberty Burger in Lakewood Shopping Center is completely finished. The tables have been arranged, the staff is being prepped and trained, the computer systems have been installed, and the doors will open in just a few days on Monday, Nov. 4.

We got a sneak peek of the location, so enjoy the video below. Not only will you get a first look at the inside of the building, but you can also learn a few things about Liberty Burger. For example, have you ever heard of chicken art? I had no idea that was a thing until I talked with Mariel Street, the managing partner at the Lakewood location. And actually, I’m not sure it’s a “thing” so much as it’s something Liberty Burger does at all their locations. Curious? Watch the video!

Street also stressed that they wanted the store to be as handmade as possible, from the tables and chairs, to the hand-welded light fixtures. “We really tried to take this local thing to the max,” she said. Even the chicken art is local, created by the chickens of East Dallas neighbor Stewart Cockrell, the general manager at the store.
