Austin-based home builder PSW Real Estate, which is known for its sustainable, urban infill projects, recently launched its newest high-density housing development in East Dallas.

The project, called 5300 Glencoe Park, will be located in the corner at Winton, Anita and Ellsworth, across the street from Glencoe Park. PSW will demolish the 34 duplexes that currently occupy the space and build 68 single-family homes in their place.

Phase one of the development will feature three different floor plans, which you can see in the renderings above, with homes ranging from 2,000-3,000 square feet with three to four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms and prices starting in the mid-$500,000s. Three more plans will be released in Phase Two sometime in August. Like all of PSW’s homes, these will be complete with energy-efficient features such as solar systems and spray-foam installation.

Demolition will begin immediately and construction is slated to begin in August.

The location is ideal because of its close proximity to Mockingbird Station and the Katy Trail Extension (which might someday see the light of day), and PSW isn’t the first builder to eye the property.

Last year Tramell Crow Residential (TCR) was in serious talks with Brooks Partners, who previously owned the property. TCR wanted to turn the duplexes into a 330 unit, high-end apartment complex, but the neighborhood didn’t approve.
