Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a three-alarm fire at a vacant apartment building in Old East Dallas on Monday night.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call for a fire at a two-story building at 1000 N. Peak St., near Swiss Avenue, around 10:45 p.m., said Jason Evans, a public information officer for Dallas Fire-Rescue.
They saw flames coming through the roof when they arrived, requiring a second alarm. Later, a third alarm was requested for additional firefighters. Ground lines and three aerial ladder pipes were used to contain the fire, Evans said.
No injuries were reported. As of publication, the cause of the fire is undetermined.
