The City of Dallas is planning significant changes to Richmond Avenue between Abrams and Matilda. The second and final online hearing for public input, hosted by the Department of Public Works, is scheduled at 6 p.m. March 2.
The meeting will inform residents about the project timeline, propose updated roadway striping alternatives and discuss public feedback received on the project through an online survey.
The neighborhood response to the online survey was impressive: 277 East Dallas residents completed the survey, and 87 percent of respondents advocated for changes to Richmond.
After working through feedback from the first public meeting Oct. 29, the five original options for the street are now down to two:
Option #2
Option #3
The City is also recommending a “traffic calming” program that includes installation of speed tables, bump-outs and pedestrian crossings.
