The social services organization located at 4630 Munger Avenue works to transform the lives of formerly incarcerated mothers and their children by providing a safe place to live, tools for success and Christian-centered spiritual support. Several mothers work at Well Grounded Coffee Community on Garland Road.

During last week’s snowstorm that left thousands of neighbors without power and water, Exodus Ministries went the entire week without power, had several pipes burst and had some flooding in their laundry rooms and boiler room, said Executive Director Susan Stephens in an email.

Several Exodus Ministries families were displaced and lost all refrigerated and freezer foods. Most Exodus’ staff were without power as well.

A plumber has since fixed the pipes to get water running again. Damages are still being assessed.

To help Exodus Ministries and its families, neighbors can donate towards plumbing and boiler repairs, replacing groceries and for toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, 13-gallon trash bags, Stephens said in the email.
