Get ready, Brando buffs. The Dallas Cinemania film society is screening a Technicolor 35-mm print of One-Eyed Jacks, the only film Marlon Brando ever directed, at the Angelika Film Center Thursday. The film is rare because there is no remastered version of it, and DVDs of the film are outdated. So this could be your only chance to see Brando’s 1961 directorial debut, and swan song, on the big screen.

Tickets are $10 and the show starts at 8 p.m. A DJ set by Mr. Rid starts at 7:30 p.m.

Next month, the film society is screening Shogun Assassin, the 1980 mash-up of two Kung-Fu genre classics, which is famous as the movie that the love child of Bill (David Carradine) and Beatrix (Uma Thurman) watches before bedtime in Kill Bill Vol. 2.
