Starting at the beginning of November, local mattress retailer, Sleep Experts, will begin its 13th annual Share the Warmth Blanket Drive to provide for individuals in poverty, especially as the winter months approach. Throughout the entire month of November, the store will be collecting new blankets, comforters and sheets from the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

All of the donations will go toward CitySquare, which works to provide services to the poor. According to a press release, hundreds of Girl Scouts from the Northeast Texas council are also jumping in to help. The girls will be assisting in the drive by collecting donations from the community to later earn a “Share the Warmth” patch.

Residents of East Dallas don’t have to travel far to participate in the good cause. Locals can take items to the Sleep Experts store on Henderson in addition to the other 39 locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
