One of those dogs — a black and white pit bull named Rocky — found a new home thanks to the work of some East Dallas neighbors.

Larry Preston, the founder of the animal clinic DogCentric, shared Rocky’s need for a new foster home on Facebook after his previous foster owner hurt her back and could no longer take care of him. According to Preston, Rocky would have been taken by Dallas Animal Services had a new home not been found.

In other pet-related news, Joseph LaBate found a small brown and white dog around Tremont Place. He’s asking for help finding the dog’s owner. And Melanie Stevens is seeking help for a friend who needs to find a new home for her dogs because she is moving and can’t take the dogs with her.
