IMG_7275There’s something sadly ironic about a Hallmark store going out of business (should we send them a card?), especially since this particular one has been in East Dallas for more than 16 years.

The Monica’s Hallmark at Mockingbird and Abrams has reached its last days. Although they don’t know exactly which day the doors will close for the last time, there’s a giant sign announcing the store is “going out of business” at the front of the store, and everything is on sale.

The manager on duty this morning couldn’t answer questions about the closure, but we’ll update with information when we get ahold of the general manager.

In other news, Dallasan Card and Gift in Casa Linda Plaza is alive and well. (I got confused about which store was closing and accidentally went by there this morning.) Dallasan, which has been in the same location in Casa Linda for more than 17 years, also used to be a Hallmark. A couple years ago they dropped the Hallmark franchise, but they continued to operate as a gift store.
