Elliot’s Hardware is moving to smaller digs according to a Dallas Morning News article, which could mean the popular hardware store might land closer to our neighborhood.
The flagship Elliot’s store on Maple Avenue near Love Field is reportedly up for sale. The article suggests possible relocation to a Ferndale-Northwest Highway shopping center or maybe to the vacant Whole Foods on Lower Greenville. Lakewood already has a neighborhood hardware store so I don’t know that we need another that close. (Note: those suggestions aren’t backed by any evidence, just speculation).
The real estate broker managing the sale mentions “Park Lane on North Central Expressway, or some other development that may be available a year from now” as an example of what Elliot’s might be looking for.
