El Rio Grande Latin Market will open its fifth Dallas location this summer.
The store, located at 3035 N. Buckner Blvd. near John West Road, will be the ninth for the supermarket chain.
It will have a kitchen with ready-made Latin dishes, a bakery, a pasteleria, a palapa (juice bar) with aguas frescas and other drinks, a meat department and produce, according to a press release.
El Rio Grande was founded in 2005 and has stores in Dallas, Fort Worth, Garland, Grand Prairie and Mesquite.
Just a couple of miles south of the newest El Rio Grande supermarket location, H-E-B’s cost-conscious grocery store Joe V’s Smart Shop is expected to open in 2025.
