On Monday, plans for the future “Trinity Forest Spine Trail” will be presented to the Transportation and Trinity River Project Committee. The trail is a $20-million project that aims to eventually run from White Rock Lake to Interstate 20 and connect the dots between various existing or planned trails. Below is a video that takes us every step of the way through the trail, starting in our neighborhood at White Rock Lake and heading south.

For the past couple of weeks, the internet has been alive with chatter about the possibility of a White Rock ISD. First there was our post by Keri Mitchell, followed by an article in the Dallas Morning News, and then another by WFAA. Candy’s Dirt discussed how it would/could affect property value, and a few days later a curious commenter posted on the Lakewood, Dallas Facebook page, asking what people thought about the split, which spurred a discussion that is still on-going.

Neighbors Go wrote about some mysterious blue X marks on several of the trees at White Rock Lake. Apparently no one knows who made them.
