Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake is building an urgent care center in Casa Linda Plaza in the old Blockbuster at 9540 Garland.
The urgent care center is set to open Dec. 4., and it will provide minor emergency care for a wide range of conditions, from deep cuts that need more than a band-aid, to serious burns that require immediate attention or a sinus infection that just gets worse.
Experienced doctors and nurses will offer treatment for non-life threatening medical emergencies as well as on-site laboratory services, X-rays, and school physicals. No appointments are necessary; patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Once it opens, hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
