Neighborhood public and private school teachers will be honored by the East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Nov. 18 during the group’s annual Education Luncheon. You can nominate an outstanding teacher by filling out the Chamber’s nomination form and returning it to the Chamber office on or before Monday, Oct. 20.
Criteria used to select the winners include professional practice, community engagement, leadership in professional development, and attention to diversity. Teachers employed full-time as classroom and/or laboratory teachers at schools in the Lakewood, East Dallas and Lake Highlands areas are eligible.
Winners will be selected by a Chamber committee and honored at the Chamber luncheon, which will be held at Lakehill Preparatory School’s Roger L. Perry campus, 7401 Ferguson Road.
