newsAccording to the White Rock/East Dallas Neighbors Go, there have been reports of drained ponds in the Great Trinity Forest because they have been siphoned off to aid in the construction of the nearby Trinity Forest golf course. Both fish and “protected” trees have paid the ultimate price as the city prepares to construct the course. Neighbors Go questions neighbors as to whether or not they think the city should dedicate more resources to protecting its woodland areas. You can read the responses here.

Both The Watchdog and My San Antonio posted an article written by Terri Hall about the private Blacklands Tollway-Northeast Gateway corridor that has been proposed to through Rockwall to Greenville in East Dallas. According to the article, a “record capacity crowd of nearly 1,500” showed up to a meeting Monday night to voice their opposition to the toll project. Read the rest of the story.
