We all love food around Thanksgiving but many people don’t have the luxury of going out and buying food for a full meal.

However, the owner’s of Dot’s Closet, a consignment shop that caters to the terminally ill, hope to change that for the store’s customers. Georgia Davis, the store manager, says they are hoping to give food to their clients by way of donations others make.

The store will be accepting canned foods—canned ham being a main request with Thanksgiving right around the corner—through mid-December.

“We try to do as much as we can for the terminally ill,” Davis says.

Food donations can be dropped off at the store’s location at 5810 Live Oak St., # 12.
