The Dallas Police Department’s Northeast Division is asking for food donations for health care workers at a hospital in our neighborhood.

The drive, scheduled for Sept. 28, will support nurses and emergency room staff at City Hospital at White Rock.

Health care workers are asking for cookies, energy drinks, gift cards (to Starbucks, Chipotle, Subway, etc.), chips, nuts, granola bars, sodas, water and beef jerky. Any cakes or pastries should be made in single servings.

Right now, the plan is to meet at the Northeast Division building at 9915 E. Northwest Highway on Sept. 28 and drive over to the hospital at 9440 Poppy Drive at 10 a.m. Items can be dropped off at the police building, or to have someone pick up the donation, contact officer Bervin Smith at 214-202-6255 or bervin.smith@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us.
