Here’s a random but interesting factoid: Woodrow Wilson High School has been selected as an official kickoff site for the 2011 Super Bowl, which will be held in Arlington at the Cowboys’ new stadium. Woodrow’s history as the home of two Heisman trophy winners — Davey O’Brien and Tim Brown — probably played a part in the school’s selection for the Jan. 12 event, which will occur in the girls gymnasium. Lots of former NFL players, Super Bowl organizers and all-around poltiical bigwigs are expected to attend the event in the gym, which can probably accomodate 200-300 people. Guess that means most of us will be watching the kickoff event on TV…
