According to D Magazine, before Cry Wolf’s departure, the restaurant served their last dinner on October 8 and took an unannounced one-week break last week.

Speculations of Cry Wolf’s closure surfaced Reddit after a post with the question “did something happen to Cry Wold?” published to the site. Reddit comments wondered the cause for its abrupt closure and if it was in fact true.

Chef Mike Stites posted the news to Facebook, “Well, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Cry Wolf. I loved this place with all my heart and put my heart and soul into it. We did a lot of cool things and fed a lot of happy people,” he said. “I will miss Cry Wolf dearly. Thank you to each and every employee and guest who made this place so special.”
