One hundred kids from the East Dallas Boys and Girls Club received a new bike delivered by special guests better than Santa’s elves.

Dallas Cowboys defensive linemen DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford were on hand Monday to help give away the bikes donated by Academy Sports and Outdoors.

The recipients, ranging from 4 to 10 years old, also received a new helmet and autographs from the players.

“Our kids could hardly contain their excitement!” the Boys and Girls Club on 4804 Worth St. tweeted.

While there, Lawrence and Crawford danced with the kids and talked about the importance of staying active on their bikes. The former Boise State teammates still bike several miles together each week as part of their training.

“It’s a blessing to be able to come out here and share with the kids what we have,” Lawrence told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “You need to check out the scenic routes of your neighborhood. It’s pretty awesome.”
