The restaurant, which has a location on Greenville Avenue near E. Lovers Lane, was included in the list for its profitability, growth rate, creativity, nimbleness and innovation.

It’s the 12th-consecutive year that Cowboy Chicken has been included in the list. This year, the restaurant was ranked No. 20, a jump from last year’s No. 72.

“We are proud to serve food made with real, honest ingredients and credit our loyal guests for our success,” says Cowboy Chicken CEO Sean Kennedy. “We wouldn’t be here without them.”

Cowboy Chicken was founded in Dallas in 1981 and has since expanded to 17 locations across Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Oklahoma and soon, Florida.

The restaurant serves all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens, as well as chicken enchiladas, brisket, tacos and family meals.
