Do you have the best lemonade recipe?
Put it to the test this week during Good Local Markets’ lemonade contest on Saturday, June 20 in East Dallas at Lakeside Market, at Lakeside Baptist Church (9150 Garland Road).
The contest begins at 10:30 a.m. All ages are welcome, participation is free and prizes will be awarded for the People’s Choice Lemonade.
To register online, go to www.GoodLocalMarkets.org. Tasting tickets can be purchased for $2 at the Good Local Markets information desk at the event.
Good Local Markets is a nonprofit organization that supports local farmers, ranchers and artisans. It operates three farmer’s markets in Dallas and includes only local growers and makers. The Lakeside Market is on the first and third Saturday of the month, White Rock Market is the second and fourth Saturday at Green Spot Market, and Fuels (702 N. Buckner Blvd.) from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. The Vickery Meadow Market is from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. every Sunday at Half-Price Books on Northwest Highway.
