At East Dallas’ Hello Dumpling, owner June Chow said she hasn’t experienced a dip in sales, but she has taken a different kind of financial hit. Prices for some imported Asian products have skyrocketed.

“This is the fallout,” she told Texas Monthly. “It’s outrageous, and it can affect anybody.”

If you want to show solidarity and support local businesses, there’s a tasty way to help. Eat dumplings or dim sum and post on social media with the hashtag #IWillEatWithYou.

As of March 5, there are no confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Dallas.
