What is going on, Dallas Police Department? Last summer, a Dallas police officer got a DWI after fleeing the scene of an accident in Plano.
And last night, a cop fired her gun in the back of a squad car as fellow officer were toting her home from Lee Harvey’s, the dive bar in the Cedars.
Two cops picked up officer Kelly Beemer, 27, from Lee Harvey’s around midnight because she was causing a disturbance and her friends thought she was too drunk to drive home. She started arguing with her colleagues and shot her gun inside the squad car, at Gaston and Abrams.
No one was injured.
The police aren’t saying anything about it yet. But it must have caused quite a commotion because we have been hearing wild rumors about what went down in Lakewood last night.
One reader emailed to say she was standing outside the Cock & Bull pub when it happened. She heard a car crash and then someone yelled, “Put the gun down!”
