Digg’s Taco Shop was among one of the first to tell us it would be opening a location in the new Arboretum Village shopping center at Gaston-Garland-Grand. Owner Joey Milan originally hoped to open in the fall in its spot next to the Starbucks. Now, a year after the original announcement, construction is finally happening.

The Digg’s brand is a “hip, laid-back taqueria” that’s proud of its “loud taste,” Milan says. Aside from quality ingredients and cooking methods, mood and atmosphere is also a key part of the Digg’s experience. Namely, music.

“It’s a part of our DNA,” Milan told us more than a year ago. “I’ve worked with sound systems for years, and I want it to be a part of this brand.”

So the new location will be teched-up with quality sound systems that churn out a constant stream of acoustic tunes, he says.

This will be Milan’s third Digg’s location. He originally founded Digg’s near SMU, right across Central from East Dallas. He then opened an Arlington location, but it closed and Milan resurrected it in Southlake.

There’s a ‘now hiring’ sign outside the new location. Check out the website for more info.
