The group has already held one meeting about the project but is looking for more public input. Rudy Karimi, Dallas Park and Recreation Board Member for District 14, will share project updates and hear community members’ opinions.

One concern voiced at the last meeting was the possibility of noise from the court disturbing nearby residents. In response to this issue, FOTP led simulation games and uploaded the videos to their website. This topic and similar concerns will be elaborated on at tomorrow’s meeting.

The cost of the court is estimated to be around $45,000. So far FOTP has raised $25,000, and that amount will be matched through the city’s matching fund program.

The meeting will be held in the park at 6 p.m. at the proposed court site, south of the parking lot. For more information and responses to concerns visit the FOTP website. Tietze Park is located at 2700 Skillman St.
