The studio relocated to East Dallas from Turtle Creek, where it opened in August 2022.

In late May, Coast offered its first classes at the new location, the old Beyond 500 Fitness Studio on Henderson, next to KSP Henderson. It’s just down the street from CorePower Yoga.

Coast is co-founded by Sabrina Roy, Marisa Wayne (a daughter of John Wayne) and Bill Gorman.

Wayne used to own a cycling studio in Southern California, where Roy and Gorman had both taken classes, according to Coast’s website. They opened Coast to “bring a high-energy, inclusive, fun, albeit challenging workout” to Dallas.

At Coast, cyclists ride to music and get a 45-minute, full-body workout in the “Blue Room” with the incorporation of hand weights and resistance.

The studio joins an area undergoing significant changes. Of course, there was the news that Veritas Wine Room would leave its space on Henderson, followed by announcement of a reversal just a few months later; the wine bar is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. And in March, construction started on the old Henderson Tap House space, one of Veritas’ neighbors, to prepare for new tenants.

Closer to the Coast space at 2003 N. Henderson Ave., work is ongoing at the future Plomo Quesadilla Bar. The restaurant missed the previously reported June opening and is now expecting to be ready for customers around August, according to a recent Instagram post.
