Here is set to open later this summer.

Here, a lounge bar run by two stalwarts of the Dallas music scene, has set an opening date that is just around the corner.

The new bar, run by Julie Doyle, the co-founder, singer and manager of Polyphonic Spree, and Tony Barsotti, the artist, musician and furniture designer, will open on Oct. 1, according to Culture Map.

Here is going to be aesthetically different from many of the East Dallas bars that have become popular hang outs. “It’s not going to have open garage doors and dogs,” Barsotti says. “We both had a little bit of a humble lust for this type of place. We started out wanting a bar with cheese and a piano, and then as we got in it, it just started evolving.”

The bar will have a “late 60s and early 70s” kind of vibe, according to Barsotti. The first-time bar owners found carpet, brightly colored bar stools and Barsotti built a massive wood panel wall that curves at the top — a design that harkens back to airplane lounge bars of the 70s.

Here is located in Cycling Center‘s former space between Margie’s Wig Salon and the Kitchen Recording Studio at 9028 Garland. It’s also just around the corner from Curious Gardens and Hypnotic Donut.
