Starting this week Dallas drivers using their phone to feed the parking meter will need to download a new app. The city announced last week that it is switching over to Parkmobile. When drivers pull into metered spots new signs with zone numbers will be seen next to the meter. Type that code into the app and then you’re good to go. The app will also alert you when your time is about to expire, and let you add time from your phone.
This shouldn’t change parking in the neighborhood too much. So far the only East Dallas location to show up on the app is around Baylor University Medical Center on Gaston, but you might want to keep it on your phone for when you head downtown.
