The preschool is moving across the street to the White Rock United Methodist Church this week.

The jump across the street will give students and teachers a little more room to breathe, The Children’s Center Director Christy Tornelli said.

“We had outgrown space that we had before and we wanted to be able to stretch our wings a bit.”

Tornelli added that the student to teacher ratio should remain the same, even though the new location offers more room.

The goal is to move this week, giving teachers time to set up and explore the new space before the beginning of the next school year.

In addition to the move, the school is also building a new playground at the church site.

The church also offers more parking.

Tornelli said all of that made the move an easy decision to make.

“When all the pieces come together like they came together for us to make this move, it just felt like the right direction.”

The White Rock United Methodist Church did not respond to a request for comment.
