Chef Graham Dodds, who is best known for his work at Hibiscus on Henderson where he became a darling among the Dallas foodie crowd with his farm-to-table mentality, announced in September his plans to create a restaurant at 3525 Greenville Avenue where Kirby’s Woodfire Grill was located before it closed in July.

At the time the restaurant was only a concept, and only a couple months later it has a name and an opening date that’s right around the corner. It’s going to be called Wayward Sons, and it’s going to open on Dec. 7. The bar will open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 5 p.m. There will be complimentary valet parking.

The concept has stayed the same. The idea is for Dodd to continue his passion for high-quality ingredients and be “the next level of Dodds’ commitment to local, seasonal, and Texas cuisine,” according to a press release. It “will bring a warm, inviting environment brimming with plant life and a mix of raw materials creating the perfect setting to complement the cuisine.”

Dodds is partnering with This & That Concepts by Brandon Hays and Phil Schanbaum of High FivesSo & So’sThe Standard Pour and soon-to-open Whippersnapper.

But enough of that. Enjoy these food photos.
