I found myself in a dangerous situation Monday after I left Organicity in Lakewood Shopping Center. I decided to check out the consignment store next to the cafe. Within moments I found myself examining three pairs of boots — all in my size (a popular 7), all like brand new, and all around $20-$25.
It only got worse as I looked around the newly opened Catalina 5G Boutique to see racks of gently used and some new men’s and women’s designer denim, and vintage dresses and walls of baubles, belts and bags. The store is filled with carefully selected clothing and accessories, but it’s not too crammed. I hate it when boutiques are so stuffed with merchandise that I can’t move around or easily leaf through items.
There is a variety of high-end and junior styles and a good selection of popular brand names. They will buy, sell and trade. As for me, I managed to walk out with just one sweet pair of ankle boots that cost me $22.
