I recently checked in with Clay Evans over at S.C. Companies to see if there were any new developments at the Casa Linda Theater. Over the last couple of years, there have been rumors of everything from a Studio Movie Grill to a Borders moving into the vacant theater space, none of which have panned out. As has been the case in the past, the initial answer was, "We’ve been fielding a bunch of calls about the property, but there is no new news at the moment." However, after a little more talking, Evans said he felt "strongly" that there could be news within a month or so, and told me to call back soon. We will, of course, keep you posted.
