This rating signifies that the restaurant features “leading-edge cuisine, ingredients and preparation with extraordinary service and surroundings,” according to AAA.

Earlier this year, Carte Blanche received a five-star rating from Forbes, making it the only restaurant in Texas to have such a rating. Only 23 restaurants in the United States have both a five-diamond rating from AAA and a five-star rating from Forbes.

Casey and Amy La Rue opened the restaurant in 2021. Breakfast is served from the restaurant’s bakery from 7 a.m. to noon every Thursday through Sunday, and dinner is served from 5-9 p.m. every night except Sunday and Monday. Their menus change often, and one of the restaurant’s unique features is that it does not serve beef, due to both environmental concerns and the fact that beef is otherwise ubiquitous at most restaurants in Dallas.
